Regatta 2024

The Regata kicked off with a fantastic boat parade on Saturday, August 3, 2024 (images to follow). We had fantastic weather, and events took place at the McClennan's cottage in the Big Bay. We even had replacements for the tug-of-war ropes, and the battles certainly put them to the test.

Regatta 2020 & 2021

Due to COVID the Regatta was limited to a boat parade.

Regatta 2019

Thank you to Mike Silver for hosting the Regatta this year, and Lisa for co-ordinating the whole thing. The return of the canoeing events was well received, and the wind made those events a lot of fun. Congratulations to Sharon Cleverdon for winning the inaugural Sharon Cleverdon Award for serving the interests and spirit of the lake with dedication and goodwill over an extended period of time. Also Congratulations to the Princess Boat, this year's winner of the Broken Paddle Award. The weather turned a little sour at the end, but we still got a very disputed tog-of-war in.

Regatta 2018

Lisa Pennycook ran a fun Regatta and has kindly offered to be the organizer again next year. She extends her sincere thanks to all who helped pull it together so well. Generous donations from Don's Bakery, Ice Dreams, Castle Blue, Clear Lake Brewery, PIE Wood Fired Pizza Joint , and Debbie Wotherspoon are greatly appreciated. "Boat-A-Corn" won 1st Place among six parade boat entries. The Macdonald/Georgopolous family's name will be first to be inscribed on the new Broken Paddle Award. There was a big turnout for all ages of swim races and especially the lily pad event. The Tug-Of-War, a favourite participator-spectator event, was won by Lisa's side.

Regatta 2017
